Deposits & Non Refundable Policies

Enrollment in the Summer Arts Intensive Berlin constitutes a commitment to participate in a limited-capacity international training and performance program. Because the program involves advance planning, faculty hiring, casting, housing, meals, and travel arrangements, cancellation fees and refund limitations apply.

Deposit

All deposits are nonrefundable. A student’s place in the program is not held until the deposit is received.

Program Payments

Program payments made after the deposit may be refundable only up to certain deadlines and only to the extent that funds have not already been committed on the student’s behalf.

Nonrefundable Costs

Once airfare, housing, meal plans, administrative fees, production expenses, or other third-party costs have been booked or paid, those amounts are nonrefundable. Any refund, if granted, will be reduced by all nonrecoverable expenses already incurred on behalf of the student.

Casting and Program Structure

This is a performance-based training program. Once casting, scene assignments, repertoire planning, or public participant announcements have been made, withdrawals may significantly impact the structure of the program and other participants. For this reason, refunds maybe unavailable after casting and program assignments are finalized.

Withdrawal Requests

Any student wishing to withdraw must do so in writing. Withdrawal requests will be reviewed based on the timing of the request and the expenses already incurred by the program.

Special Circumstances

In cases of serious illness, emergency, or other extraordinary circumstances, the program may, at its sole discretion, consider a partial refund, future credit, or other accommodation. Such exceptions are not guaranteed and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Travel Insurance

Families are strongly encouraged to purchase travel insurance or trip protection. Rising Stars Performing Arts is not responsible for losses caused by illness, personal circumstances, travel interruption, or other events outside of the program’s control.

Program Cancellation by Organizer

If Rising Stars Performing Arts cancels the program, participants will receive a refund of recoverable program payments made directly to Rising Stars Performing Arts, less any nonrecoverable third-party costs already paid on the student’s behalf, unless otherwise required by law.

Acknowledgment

By registering for the program, the participant and or parent/guardian acknowledge that they have read and agreed to this refund, cancellation, and withdrawal policy
