Travel Tips – Summer Arts Intensive Berlin 2026

Travel Guidelines

  • Recommended Arrival Date: June 27

  • Recommended Departure: July 12

  • Arrival window: 8:00 AM–2:00 PM local time

  • Staff will meet students at the airport (details to follow)


Packing List

Documentation/Identification:

  • Passport & ID (plus 2 photocopies)

  • Health insurance card (or copy)

Dress clothes:

Male Presenting:

  • Dress shirts

  • Khakis

  • Blazer/Tuxedo

  • Necktie

  • Dress Shoes

  • Black Concert Attire

Female Presenting:

  • At least one floor length dress

  • Two other dresses for performances (at least knee length)

  • Heels

  • Black Concert Attire

Materials for auditioning and classes:

  • MULTIPLE COPIES of performance resumé, repertoire list, and headshot

  • Clean copies of AT LEAST two pieces of repertoire

  • Recording devices for lessons (phones, computers, iPads, etc.)

Other essentials:

  • Water bottles

  • Travel journal

  • Comfortable walking shoes

  • Towels (not provided in housing)


Dance Attire:

Male Presenting (Jazz, Commercial Jazz & MT)

  • Black shorts, tights or leggings

  • Fitted, solid colored t-shirt or tank top

  • Jazz shoes

  • Black dance or dress socks

  • Dance belt

Male Presenting (Ballet)

  • Black shorts, tights or leggings

  • Fitted, solid colored tank top

  • Black ballet shoes

  • Dance belt

Female Presenting (Jazz, Commercial Jazz, MT)

  • Sun tan or pink tights

  • Leotard

  • Black ballet shorts or solid colored ballet skirt

  • Jazz shoes

  • Character heels

  • Black dance or dress socks

  • Hair must be pulled back from face completely!

Female Presenting (Ballet)

  • Pink tights

  • Leotard

  • Black ballet shorts or solid colored ballet skirt

  • Pink ballet shoes

  • Hair must be pulled back from face completely!

Communication

  • WhatsApp group for updates

  • International SIM or roaming plan REQUIRED!

  • Program will maintain a curfew and daily check-in for safety
